Looking at family structure, early generations raised their children with stay at home mothers, working fathers, and neighbors as extended family. The middle generations have the complexity of expanding their immediate family, managing elderly care, and later down the line supporting their older children and their extended families. The younger generations are consumed with self-insecurity with the need to feel wanted. Although throughout life transitions—boundaries change, family relationship become strained, and roles within family dynamics are constantly being altered and redefined. Family dynamic does not consist of mother, father, and biological child or children. People are no longer calling or identifying their family as biological connection, but individuals they form a connecting bond with that are not genetically connected.
